Dr. Marina Theodotou, Special Projects Lead, User Experience Directorate, Defense Acquisition University
Dr. Marina Theodotou leads special projects in the user experience directorate at the Defense Acquisition University. Most recently she completed a rotation as director for learning experiences at NavalX at the Department of the Navy. Throughout her career, Marina has cultivated her skills by leading diverse teams, leading change, building coalitions, leveraging astute business acumen and delivering business outcomes in four verticals, including finance, management consulting, learning and development, and defense in three geographies. Dr. Theodotou led the Defense Acquisition University’s flagship learning experience, TEDxDAU, for two consecutive years, which resulted in boosting the University brand and inspiring and empowering over 5,000 workforce members.

Marina is certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Bank of America and in design thinking by IDEO University. Marina’s thought leadership articles on learning and development, innovation, and culture change have been published widely. Committed to fostering allyship in diversity, equity and inclusion, Dr. Theodotou is a mentor in the Executive Women in Government program. Dr. Theodotou holds a Master and Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate degree in education, organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California.
