BOSTON — July 14, 2026 — Scrum.org, the Home of Scrum, today announced the addition of a new self-paced training course, Estimation and Planning for Scrum Teams™, to its online learning platform. Built in collaboration with Professional Scrum Trainer Ludwig Harsch and endorsed by Scrum.org, the course teaches students how to effectively estimate, plan and forecast product delivery using proven techniques to make data-driven decisions.
In this course, students discover practical techniques for creating realistic, evidence-based forecasts in complex environments. The course explores how empiricism, probability, visualization and estimation improve planning, help communicate uncertainty and build stakeholder confidence. Students will gain actionable insights into how unplanned work and technical debt affect their ability to forecast reliably, enabling more transparent planning and decision-making for Scrum teams.

The course takes approximately four hours to complete and is now available on the Scrum.org website. Students receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course.
