Pittsburgh – October 25, 2018 – Companies around the world are on the cusp of a revolution in the way they hire, promote, and develop their leaders, thanks to global leadership company DDI’s announcement today of the DDI Innovation Fund.
The DDI Innovation Fund is a strategic corporate venture fund that will enable DDI to invest in and partner with cutting-edge companies with innovative digital, mobile, and leadership-focused capabilities that complement DDI’s existing suite of leadership selection, development, succession planning, and consulting solutions.
“In today’s rapidly changing environment, we recognize that the nature of leadership is changing, putting unprecedented levels of strain on leaders,” said Tacy M. Byham, Ph.D., CEO of DDI. “The DDI Innovation Fund is a key part of our strategy to change the way we interact with leaders, enabling us to find new ways to leverage technology to support leaders through all the critical moments of leadership. Our commitment is to serve leaders as a whole person, head and heart, helping them excel on the job and derive greater satisfaction from work. We strongly believe that this is the future of leadership, and will be the single most critical factor in helping our clients drive better business results.”
Capital for DDI’s Innovation Fund stems in part from the proceeds of DDI’s recent divestiture of its workforce pre-employment assessment business. The fund will be managed by Doug Reynolds, Ph.D., executive vice president of innovations and technology at DDI, and overseen by a DDI advisory board of directors.
“We are embarking on a new era at DDI, and we are laser-focused on one thing: creating better leaders,” said Reynolds. “The exciting new innovations that will come out of the DDI Innovation Fund will not only fuel our own future, but power the development of leaders at top companies around the world that are changing the way we all live and work.”
