PARIS and NEW YORK — Nov. 2, 2021 — EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, today launched its EcoVadis Academy. The eLearning platform, available to EcoVadis customers, gives organizations guidance to tackle priority improvement areas across Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement practices. Adaptable to each customer’s sustainability journey, EcoVadis Academy helps organizations drive impact at scale within their value chains.
The EcoVadis Academy draws on the company’s unique experience and data from 125,000 scorecards and hundreds of thousands of connections. It is designed to create maximum value in multiple ways: it meets companies where they are, empowering them to take the next step on their sustainability journey; employs the latest technology to guide organizations through the most relevant content and makes learning a compelling and collaborative experience with interactive navigation, videos, case studies and more to fully engage employees in driving sustainability. Users can start with introductory courses that provide a baseline knowledge and then progress with more in-depth content that enable learners to address improvement areas with specific actions.
“Acquiring the right sustainability knowledge is an essential step for companies who want to improve practices, meet stakeholder expectations, build resilience, and thrive in the new normal. But finding high-quality training that is both adaptable to the maturity of a company’s business activity and compelling for teams is a challenge,” said Frédéric Trinel, co-Founder and co-CEO of EcoVadis. “This is why we’ve launched EcoVadis Academy. It features a rich set of current, practical content that goes beyond theory with plenty of real-life examples and is presented in an accessible and engaging format that everyone will truly enjoy using.”
EcoVadis Academy engages users by testing their knowledge at the end of each course, enabling administrators to track an individual’s progress, and allowing companies to monitor and assign coursework to drive supplier sustainability improvement programs identified within a company’s scorecard. All courses are aligned with the EcoVadis Rating methodology, and the platform works hand-in-hand with features including the EcoVadis Carbon Action Module, Metrics, and Corrective Action Plan. With 100% online access, EcoVadis Academy is available to distributed companies and teams in any geography.
Currently, Ecovadis Academy offers 16 courses in five languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese). Two introductory courses are available to all subscribers with 14 advanced courses (policy and reporting, GHG/carbon management and more) included as a Premium offering.
As a limited time offer in support of COP26, all four environmental courses (Environmental Policy, Environmental Reporting, GHG/Carbon Actions and GHG/Carbon Reporting) will be available to users from every rated company through the end of the year. Courses will continuously be added to the curriculum, with the next offerings expected in 2022 and available in further languages.
