BOSTON — Oct. 27, 2026 — ForeverLearning AI has launched the Conversations API, its first public API, which went live Oct. 25. Developers can now give the people who use their products a place to practice real conversations. A learner chooses a situation, responds in their own words to a cast of up to five AI characters, chosen from 52, each with their own personality, and gets guidance from a Coach in every turn. Afterward, the application can replay the conversation, show its debrief and bring back observations tied to the moments that mattered.
A Whole Room, Ready to Use
Builders can create custom practice rooms around a topic of their own or choose from 100 ready-made rooms in eight categories. Open practice uses a supported cast. Every participant responds in character. Characters respond to the whole conversation, and their reactions shift as it unfolds. Each character’s mood carries from turn to turn. With each turn, the API can report each character’s expression, one of 16 named states or a simpler set of five, so an application can show faces that change as the conversation moves. Using them is optional. It also reports whether each character is present, has stepped away or has left the room, and a character pushed too far can leave for the rest of the session. In ready-made rooms, one person may arrive having a particular kind of day, a phone call or time check can interrupt, and someone may step out and come back. After the session, the debrief shows how each character’s responses changed. The Coach helps the learner think through the next move inside the turn. The application sets the room’s challenge, its emotional heat and the Coach’s lens, and can change them as the conversation goes. The cast speaks 10 languages, with the Coach in English. Optional spoken responses give a saved turn the voice of every participant and the Coach.
Practice That Stays With the Learner
Every session is saved. Session continuity and saved preferences let a learner pick up where they left off. When a practice closes, its debrief is ready, and observations across sessions bring the learner back to the moments that mattered. Export and deletion are part of the API from the start.
Three Steps to Integrate
Integration follows three steps. Prepare a room with its participants and controls. Open it and send the learner’s turns, with each response streamed back to the application. Read the saved practice: playback, debrief and insights. The integration guide covers each step with TypeScript, Python and cURL examples, a downloadable OpenAPI contract and a safe way to retry a request after a dropped connection.
The application keeps its own screens, user journey and relationship with its users. ForeverLearning AI runs the room, the Coach and the saved practice behind it, on the same patent-pending foundation as its Conversations app.
“Most people know what they want to say in a hard conversation. Saying it while someone pushes back is a different thing, and that takes practice. We built Conversations to give people that room. The Conversations API lets teams building learning, coaching and training products put that room inside their own app, with the cast, the Coach and the saved practice already working, for three cents a turn,” said Terry Boyle, founder and CEO of ForeverLearning AI.
Availability and Pricing
The Conversations API is available now at developers.foreverlearning.ai. Developers sign in, review the terms and the rate, add the API to their workspace, fund usage with prepaid credit and create a server key. Text costs $0.03 per billable turn, covering every participating character and the Coach. Optional spoken responses add $0.05 per turn, for $0.08 in total. There is no per-speaker fee. Ten billable text turns cost $0.30, or $0.80 with spoken responses for each. Setting up a room and reading saved conversations, debriefs and insights carry no generation charge, and saved audio replays free for 24 hours from creation. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Self-service access is for adults in the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec. Institutional, children’s and companion uses require an agreement, and the API is not available for health uses.
Conversations, the company’s app for practicing a conversation directly, continues as its own product with its own access and pricing.
