Outsourcing

Outsourcing is the practice of contracting work or business processes to an outside company, from which the process is purchased back as a service. The work or process may be something that the organization previously handled internally, or something that they will need in the future. Outsourcing and offshoring are often confused but are not synonymous. See also Offshoring. Antonym: Insourcing.
