| Wendy Melton | 5 out of 5 | I attended this course in person as an add on to TICE. I gained a solid understanding of the Kirkpatrick model and gained a lot of value from the discussion topics. This course helped to answer questions that I had about measuring the impact of learning in my own organization and has made me more confident to collect the right data. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging and made the experience worthwhile! | 6/29/2026 |
| Gina Thompson | 5 out of 5 | It was a great course. Challenging and collaborative and a way to strengthen my approach to measuring the impact of L&D. | 6/25/2026 |
| Kylee Gross | 5 out of 5 | The Measuring the Impact of L&D Certificate progam was very helpful in that I came to understand how to measure the ROI of training programs and possibly turn training into something other than a “Cost Center”. Chris, our instructor was very patient with our questions and explained concepts in different ways to help us all understand on our different levels. | 6/24/2026 |
| Linda Croyle | 4 out of 5 | Overall I thought it was a really great program. I would give a 4.5 but that wasn’t an option: Couple of suggestions: 1) Have the entire group introduce themselves to each other. We only did it by table and then we stayed in our table both days so only met 7 of the 16 people. I would’ve had a better experience by interacting with more MILD participants, both at MILD and at the TICE event in general (more ppl to know when attending other function/events). 2) Have the people change tables on the 2nd day to meet and interact with a different group of folks 3) Chris seened VERY knowledgable on the subject and great at explaining most of the concepts, but he didn’t always seem like he had a good grasp of the PP and workbook concepts. I think he would’ve excelled if it was a program he wrote and presented himself. It was almost like he was trying to fit into a suit jacket that was too small and constrictive. I took the CPMT the year before and our instructor took some liberties with the content and how it was presented to better meet our needs and to more fully express his areas of expertise. 4) Another small thing was a few of us had workbooks that were probably made after the fact – they were printed one-sided and bound by that thick plastic seam that was cumbersome to use and came apart about 2/3 of the way through. Some pages only had a couple of lines on them. There’s got to be a better way of using less paper. 5) The slides were great. It would have been way more helpful to have had the slide images on each page than just a few written words. As I said first, overally I got A LOT out of MILD; with a few tweaks mentioned above, it would have been outstanding! | 6/23/2026 |
| Taylor Zaragoza | 5 out of 5 | This course came at exactly the right time. I’m actively building an L&D function from the ground up inside a large, multi-BU organization going through a major integration, and I walked in to this course without a formal measurement framework. The Kirkpatrick-based structure was clear and immediately applicable. The decision trees for Level 3 and 4 measurement especially helped me understand exactly what I can realistically do given my current data access, rather than overwhelming me with what I can’t. That kind of practical honesty is rare in L&D coursework. The ROI formula and cost calculator gave me language and tools I can put in front of leadership and reframes how I talk about what happens after training, not just during it. My one honest note: I would love more content specifically for practitioners who are building measurement infrastructure from zero – no baseline data, no historical benchmarks, newer programs not yet at scale. The case studies were helpful, but they assumed more existing data than many of us have. A ‘starting from scratch’ module or job aid would make this course even stronger for early-stage L&D teams. | 6/23/2026 |

| Ann Narcisse | 5 out of 5 | As a professional deeply invested in the field of Learning and Development (L&D), I recently had the privilege of participating in Dr. Paul Leone’s workshop on Measuring the Impact of L&D. Dr. Leone’s wealth of experience in measurement shines through his instruction. Dr. Leone exudes a genuine desire to support learners regardless of their background or industry. His approachability creates an environment where participants feel empowered to engage fully with the content. As I reflect on the workshop, certain key takeaways stand out vividly including, exploration of assessment levels, algorithms for ROI calculation, and techniques for reverse engineering surveys were particularly enlightening. Navigating these complex topics equipped me with practical tools to elevate my measurement practices. I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to anyone seeking to enhance their understanding and application of L&D measurement. | 5/6/2024 |
| Vidya Srinivas | 5 out of 5 | It was eye opening experience for me with this course and things that I was not aware of in L&D industry. For example comparing with control group and four levels and how to use them for right piece of educational programs. The instructor was amazing. | 12/21/2023 |
| Julianne Lindo | 5 out of 5 | This was a great 2 day /4 hour session. The instructor provided very in-depth knowledge on how to go about measuring the success of training. We also explored additional methods of measuring including the impact of the environment in which a learner is taking training and how this impacts his or her performance after taking a class. I introduced this level of impact during training consultancy and the clients regarded this as useful data to consider. | 4/28/2023 |

| Heather Schultes | 5 out of 5 | One of the primary issues that any L&D manager struggles with is how to evaluate a training program. This course solves that problem. It takes you through the basic tools and models available to evaluate a training program within an organization. The facilitator was extremely knowledgeable and made a point to advise on specific topics that the students asked about in the beginning. I was already familiar with some of the models, but was struggling in how to put them into practice within my organization. I love that the course wasn’t just theory, but also included break-out sessions for the class to discuss questions and resolve issues, issues that affect you and your organization. I’m confident that I can now successfully evaluate any training initiative at all levels moving forward. This course should be a mandatory requirement for anyone in L&D, whether you’re new to training, or even if you have a few years under your belt. | 4/26/2023 |
