Recent research by Cigna found that loneliness among Americans has reached “epidemic levels.” Almost half of the 20,000 adults surveyed reported “sometimes” or “always” feeling alone.

What’s causing this “epidemic”? What effects of loneliness can we see in the workplace? Can – and should – organizations help?
