Columbia, MD − December 8, 2015 − Global performance improvement solutions provider GP Strategies Corporation has been awarded a $29.6 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical and professional support to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)/U.S. Army Chemical Materials Activity Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate (CMA-RCMD).

The U.S. Army CMA-RCMD provides centralized management and direction to the DoD for the assessment and disposal of recovered chemical weapon material and other chemical disposal missions in a safe, environmentally sound and cost-effective manner. 

The basic indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity umbrella contract scope of work is to provide lifecycle logistics services for mission critical equipment assets; operations and maintenance of the chemical demilitarization training facility (CDTF) and support facilities; and, technical training pertaining to CMA-RCMD missions. Additional task orders may be awarded for individually specified projects other than those included in the annual cost baseline during the period of performance. 

The base contract is for five years from September 2015 to September 2020, with a possible five-year extension, and has a ceiling limit of $50 million
